Join us at Al Lisaili desert for a special event as Saturn reaches its closest point to Earth this year, offering a stunning view of its rings and moons. See the planet at its brightest through our telescopes and enjoy a memorable evening under the stars!
During opposition, the sunlight that shines on Saturn is fully reflected back to us, and we can see the whole of its planetary disk. For us here on Earth, that means that Saturn will appear brighter in the sky. Opposition describes an object being opposite the Sun in the sky.
Event Ticket Fee:
- General Tickets: AED 100
- Kids (Under 13): AED 80
- DAG Members: AED 60

- 07:10 PM – Event Introduction
- 07:30 PM – Talk: Saturn Opposition
- 08:30 PM – Q & A Session
- 09:00 PM – Arabian Astronomy
- Telescope Observation of Saturn all throughout the evening.
- Phone photography of Saturn through the telescopes.

bathrooms are a 15-min drive away
Public bathrooms are at Emarat petrol station, a 15-minute drive away from the event location.
CARRY ANY NECESSITIES YOU MIGHT DEEM NECESSARY
Although we will be providing mats and water, you are requested to carry any necessities you might deem necessary over the period of the event (snacks, seats, etc.) for your comfort.
REGISTRATION MUST BE DONE IN ADVANCE
No registration will be accepted/allowed at the venue.
A 4x4 car is not required to reach the event location
Although recommended, a 4×4 car is not required to reach the event location.
Please bring a soft copy of the event ticket Email
Please bring a soft copy (on your phone) of the event ticket that contains a QR code to ensure a smooth check-in process.
You're requested to bring along your Emirates ID
You are requested to bring any form of identification with you to be presented at the venue upon request.
DAG Members are requested to bring ID
DAG paid members are requested to bring their digital membership card to be presented upon request.
Kids under the age of 5 don't require a ticket
We don’t recommend bringing kids under the age of 5 to our events.
Kids under 13 need to be accompanied by a parent
Kids under the age of 13 must be accompanied by a parent. Parents are required to purchase a ticket.
No alcohol is Allowed!
No alcohol is allowed. This is a family-friendly event.
No pets are allowed
Pets are not allowed at our events and activities.
