Location: Al Qudra Desert - Dubai
Fee: AED 120 - AED 150
Join us for a guided stargazing experience exploring the Moon, planets, and the winter night sky. Journey from our solar system to bright stars, star clusters, nebulae, and distant galaxies through powerful telescopes. A magical night under the stars awaits.
This guided stargazing event on January 31st offers an immersive journey through the winter night sky, designed for both beginners and astronomy enthusiasts. The experience begins with observations of the Moon and visible planets, introducing key features of our solar system and how these objects move across the sky.
We then shift our focus beyond the solar system to the stars, using Sirius, the brightest star in the winter sky, as a starting point to understand stellar light and distance. From there, participants will observe the Pleiades star cluster, followed by nebulae and distant galaxies, gradually transitioning into deep space. Along the way, we explore fundamental astronomical concepts such as light-years, cosmic scale, and the vast history of the universe.
Throughout the evening, telescopes will be available for continuous observation of planetary and deep-sky objects, with guidance provided by the astronomy team. Guests will also have the opportunity to capture photos of celestial objects using their mobile phones through the telescopes.
This experience connects nearby worlds to the farthest reaches of space, offering a deeper appreciation of the universe beneath the clear winter skies.
This experience is designed to be engaging and accessible for all levels, offering a meaningful connection between our solar system, the stars above, and the vast universe beyond.
