A magical night awaits under the stars as the Orionid meteor shower reaches its peak! Enjoy perfectly dark, moonless skies and a serene desert atmosphere in Al Qudra, making it an unforgettable experience for stargazers and nature lovers alike.
The Orionid meteor shower is the second meteor shower created by Comet Halley. The Eta Aquarids in May is the other meteor shower created by debris left by Comet Halley. Halley takes around 76 years to make a complete revolution around the Sun. It will next be visible from Earth in 2061. Orionids are named after Orion, because the meteors seem to emerge or radiate from the same area in the sky as the constellation.

- 10:45 PM – Talk: Orionids Meteor Shower
- 11:30 PM – Sky Mapping Session (Stories about the Constellations)
- 12:00 AM – Q & A Session
- Telescope Observation throughout the night of celestial objects.
- Phone photography through the telescopes.

Public bathrooms are at Al Qudra Last Exit, a 10-mins drive away from the event location.
CARRY ANY NECESSITIES YOU MIGHT DEEM NECESSARY
Although we will be providing mats and water, you are requested to carry any necessities you might deem necessary over the period of the event (snacks, jackets, seats, etc.) for your comfort.

Meteors travel across the sky too quickly to be viewed through telescopes, making them best seen with the naked eye.
